Fever again

Well, it’s been quite a while since I’ve posted. As my last post said, we’ve been moving to Dublin Ireland… and now we’re here. We’ve been here for about 3 weeks actually, and just moved into our semi-permanent abode.

Unfortunately little Juliette has come down with another sickness. Today she was quiet and then had a fit of crying that wouldn’t stop and didn’t seem to have a reason. She didn’t eat much all day either. Then in the early afternoon she had two bouts of diarrhea in quick succession, the second quite watery. So we figure the crying was due to a tummy-ache.

Since then she’s been kind of clingy and listless. And this evening when I got home (about 7 pm) she had a temperature over 38.9C, so we have her some baby Tylenol (not the contaminated stuff!) and then put her to bed. She’s been sleeping quietly since.

Poor kid. With all the changes and such over the past month she’s been a real trooper. But now I think perhaps it’s catching up to her. That, and the typical kid habit of picking up crap and putting it in her mouth. Oh well, just the second of what I expect to be many sicknesses and fevers. Personally, I’d prefer she gets them now and develops a good immune system. As long as she’s kept safe and recovers quickly I’m a reasonably happy guy.
