New Moon
In the past couple of days Peach has been bouncing around a LOT – kicking vigorously and twisting about. It’s really freaky to watch as Mom’s belly bulges and quivers with startling force. I got a boot in the nose the other night when I was talking to Peach trying to get her to relax and calm down.
Strangely we’re only a couple of days away from a New moon. Last month when there was a new moon, we found out from the doula that was giving our prenatal class that 4 of her clients delivered babies on the same night – within hours of each other! It left her with no deliveries left for the rest of February.
So now we’re waiting to see what will happen. Last night Peach was really churning about for the first 5 minutes or so after Mom-to-Be came to bed, only calming down after I talked and rubbed Mom’s belly. Tomorrow night is the new moon, so we’ll see if Peach is going to be extra restless the next couple of nights.
We’re now only 12 days away from the expected delivery date – and while we’re prepared home-wise, we’re in no hurry to have baby Peach arrive. We still have a few things we’d like to do and a few appointments that both Mom-to-Be and I have up until next weekend.
Then Peach, you’re free to come out!
