Week 33 – About 7 Weeks To Go!
Friday marked the start of Week 33. At this point we’re now in kind of a guessing game – when exactly is the little poop-maker going to be born?
She hasn’t gained any additional weight over the last week or so – still holding around 200 lbs. This is a bit of a relief for her as she was worried how big she would be when baby Peach finally arrives. She was counting an average of 1-2 lbs per week up until delivery and scaring herself.
On a related note, the baby boom has started. My boss’ wife just delivered a baby boy on January 13. It was a stressful week for them as labour started a week prior on January 5 or 6… then stopped cold January 7 at 3 am. From that point on she was slightly dilated but not having any contractions at all. They were all on pins and needles for days until finally on Monday afternoon things started up again. Tuesday evening the kid finally decided it was time to enter the world. Whew!
Next another co-worker is expecting in mid-February. Then it’s us, then another co-worker about 7 days later, then another co-worker about a week after that, then one of my employees about 2 weeks after that. It’s going to be chaos! Plus there are a couple other co-workers who are expecting deliveries in that period but I don’t have details. So we’re talking 6 or 7 kids being born in the span of 3 months. What the hell have they been putting in the coffee?
So little Peach, you’re going to be joining the world along with a lot of other little babies over the next few weeks. I hope you’re going to be one of the better-behaved ones!
