It’s Just A Scam

Today I woke up and realized that I have not had any real confirmation that she’s pregnant. Sure, she’s got a belly and we’ve talked to the midwife and seen some pictures from the ultrasound, but at no time have I had any concrete evidence that she’s pregnant.

For all I know it’s just an elaborate hoax – so-called Pregnant One could have hired some actors, had some computer-generated images show up on a screen and now I’m being duped by a very clever scam to cover up some rapid weight gain. It’s all just a clever ruse to cover up that she’s getting fat!

I mentioned this to her and she burst out laughing. She was lying down so she grabbed my hand and put it on her belly. She said that she’d felt baby Peach kick her hand earlier when she had her hand there, but she hadn’t felt anything internally. Just a poke or nudge through the stomach on her hand.

I held my hand there for a long time but didn’t feel anything at all. I’m sure it’s all just a very clever hoax.
