World War III – The French Front

One of the unexpected consequences of the card to Preg-o’s family members is that it’s sparked a full-fledged war between her family and the brother’s girlfriend who just had a baby in April. Let’s call her T to keep things more or less understandable.

T has not been the friendliest to Preg-o’s mom. In fact I’d say it’s an understatement. But anyhow, without getting into too much detail there has been a bit of tension and dislike between them for whatever reason. T does not like taking the baby over to see the grandparents and generally has been trying to find ways to avoid doing so.

As a result of the announcement card a couple of emails were exchanged between T and the grandmother which culminated in T sending a very nasty email stating that the grandmom was terrible for not being more excited, supportive and happy about Preg-o’s pregnancy. This was untrue – we’d received congratulations from her parents over the webcam and email.

This escalated over the days… and Preggy got involved defending her mom and trying to sort out the mess. It’s escalated seriously to the point where her brother now is quite upset with her. And the disturbing thing is that Preggy seems to be enjoying the fight.

I hope this gets resolved soon. I’m tired of hearing about it and don’t want to be drawn in. Webcams are so much fun.
