The Circus Begins

Well, it’s now been a week since we sent out the cards to her family in France… and she spoke with them on the webcam. They’ve received their cards and everyone’s all a-twitter about the news. Her brother and his girlfriend just had a kid a few months ago and everyone’s been asking when we’re having one for the past 2 or 3 months. I’m sure she’s been telling them that her bastard boyfriend is sterile or impotent or something. I don’t even want to know what the “something” is.

On the health front she’s doing well but now suffering from constipation. She’s been eating prunes to try and get things moving without much luck. Personally I think she’s just using the whole constipation thing as an excuse to gobble down handfuls of prunes – she really likes them.

I went out to the drugstore and got her a bottle of orange-flavoured psyllium husks. That should help things along.
