Gag Me With A… Toothbrush
For the last couple of days, the mere act of brushing her teeth causes her to gag. It’s not clear what the reason is – it could be the toothpaste, or it could be the toothbrush at the back of her mouth. She’s not certain. Either way it’s not a pleasant experience for her and one night she abandoned the attempt.
Actually it’s progressed to vomiting she tells me. Every time she brushes her teeth she ends up vomiting a bit. I’m not sure whether to be alarmed or not. It seems rather strange that this is a pregnancy-related thing.
I suggested she try brushing without toothpaste to see if it makes a difference.
Now that I think about it, perhaps it’s something she should ask her doctor about.
The other thing that I’ve noticed is that even though she’s about as hungry as before, she doesn’t get the ravenous hunger attacks like before. She’s managing things a bit better too, by munching on almonds or small snacks before she gets to that screaming hunger stage.
She’s not able to eat as much at one sitting. Even though she’s cut down her portions, every night so far she ends up complaining that she’s eaten too much and doesn’t feel well.
When I look at her belly, I can clearly see that her uterus has pushed her other organs up. It’s no wonder that she can’t eat as much at once.
