She uses the pregnancy tester today, and it’s supposed to take 2 minutes for the line to show up. It shows up immediately, dispelling any notions that we might have had that this was some sort of mix-up. Nope. She’s definitely preggers.
She’s tired and not interested in doing anything today. But she forces herself to come out shopping with me. We spend a couple of hours out and that’s it, she’s back on the couch plotting our next vacation.
We talk a bit about how we’re going to tell our parents. I snap some photos of the tester showing the positive result and we think about creating our own card with just this photo inside – probably give them a heart attack!
I’m beginning to think more and more about work and what we’re going to do once the critter arrives. I don’t really want to keep working the 9-5 (actually 8:30 to 5:30 or later) and travelling all the time. I want to be my own boss and run my own business again, so it’s time to really start focussing on that. And I’ve been saying that for at least the last 2 years. Now it’s becoming more important.
