Starting the Adventure

Since we’ve decided to try and reproduce, things have been progressing slowly. Not that we’re overly-concerned about it as we expect it will take a while. A lot of our friends have taken 6-8 months to conceive and we’re not quite that far along, so no point in panicking yet.

Secretly I think that both of us wonder if we’ll be able to conceive. So we’re doing the pragmatic thing and making sure we’re eating well and taking the appropriate supplements – prenatal vitamins for her (especially Folic Acid), and Zinc, Selenium, Folic Acid, and various B Vitamins for me. But I don’t take the supplements every day (I often forget) and we’d rather get our nutrients from our meals.

We’re normally careful about what we eat, and I think we eat better than average – lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, and good-quality home-cooked foods. Solid nutrition, not a lot of pre-packaged stuff or fast foods. If anything we probably eat too much protein.

Not much else to note here. I’m not really sure what to write about at this point anyhow.
